PANEL REPLACEMENT #1

Problem: Top lug on main circuit breaker was burnt out.
Solution: Because main circuit breaker wasn't available anymore, new panel was required. This effectively gave the customer a nicely laced panel with a manufacturer's lifetime warranty.

Advantages:

  • Easier to diagnose electric concerns.
  • More professional.

PANEL REPLACEMENT #2

Problem: Code violation of too many circuits in a panel.
Solution: We installed 2 panels which allowed up to 84 circuits. Separated the circuits to distribute load evenly between panels bringing the panels up to code.

Advantages:

  • Eliminates overheating of an overloaded panel.
  • Easier to diagnose problems with professional lacing.

PANEL REPLACEMENT #3

Problem: Panel on right had code violation of too many circuits.
Solution: Installed 2 panels to replace the one overloaded panel then laced and installed the proper size circuit breaker per circuit.

Advantages:

  • Eliminates overheating of an overloaded panel.
  • Easier to diagnose problems with professional lacing.

MAIN SERVICE REPLACEMENT

Problem:

  • More than 6 disconnects to shut off building.
  • Burnt connections.
  • One service had no disconnect.
  • Main breaker disconnects were bypassed.

Solution: Replaced service with a code compliant Meter Pak that allowed shut off of entire building with one main breaker.
Note: Entire service was replaced without any one tenant being without power for more than 15 minutes.

Advantages:

  • Turn off power to entire building with one disconnect.
  • Easier to diagnose problems.
  • Met code compliance.

SOLAR ARRAY INSTALLATION – 13,240 WATT SYSTEM

Project Details: This solar array installation was completed in 2014 and consists of a 13,240 watt system.

Notes on Incentives: At the time of installation, Ameren offered a $2.00 per watt incentive program, which significantly reduced the overall cost for the customer. While this specific incentive is no longer available, Ameren does periodically offer other solar programs.

Important Advice: Anyone considering solar should always check directly with Ameren to understand what programs or incentives are currently available.

Caution: Be careful when choosing a solar installer. Some contractors collect incentives and leave customers with unfinished or unsupported systems. We strongly recommend going through Ameren first, then working with a licensed contractor you can trust.

Electrical Panel Replacement – Video Walkthrough

This video shows the step-by-step replacement of an overloaded electrical panel that was overheating and burning the bus bar—conditions that can lead to a house fire. Tight “cheater” breakers restricted airflow and caused excessive heat buildup. The new 200-amp panel is larger, runs cooler with wider breakers, and provides safer capacity for future electrical needs.
